Chinchilla Place was founded in 2007. At the time there were very few recourses available for chinchilla owners and Chinchilla Place was started as an online comprehensive guide to chinchilla ownership. In early 2010 Chinchilla Place made the decision to stop breeding chinchillas and focus efforts solely on chinchilla rescue. Jennifer Snyder and her husband Attorney Jacob Snyder live in Beverly Massachusetts and help to facilitate chinchilla rescue throughout the North Shore and Greater Boston.
