If I recall, C N Q paid their bill and were good for 3 years not that long back, so I have a feeling the owners finally got tired of the drama and the BS of the moderators let alone the complaints and the new people getting bashed. Hopefully the site will be back up soon with new moderators.

I agree, the content is good but the management is horrid, they need to rein in the nastiness and if the staff can't do it then they need to be gone. Driving off new members cannot be good for chinworlds business, the staff seem to have forgot that is why the site is there, to advertise chinworld.

There's great info on that site and a lot of good members as well. Some of the staff are very helpful but honestly, some of the staff are absolutely as useless as tits on a bull. You never ever hear a peep out of them and then whammo, they jump into a thread and slam someone for absolutely no reason. The best thing they could possibly do as 'super mods' on that site is to say absolutely nothing at all b/c that would be so much more helpful to all.

I have seen some nastiness from people on the site as well when new members and chinchilla owners are asking questions. In my opinion it's better to provide someone with an answer then tell them how stupid they are for asking and they should never own pets. There is a lack of info on chins out there and providing good info keeps chinchillas healthy and happy and helps to educate new owners. I have continued to learn more and more information on chinchillas all the time and I have owned chinchillas for about 10 years now.

that being said, it is a very large pool of knowledge that would be a shame to loose, and some very helpful people.

Regarding Chins-n-Quills 
I'm going to post this here, and stick it, so people won't need to ask over and over. 
 
We do not know what has happened with CnQ. The staff of CnQ all came on to the same message that all of the members received when logging in. None of us know what is going on. Repeated attempts to reach the forum owner by staff, members, and others have gone unanswered via phone and email. 
 
We are very concerned and have checked multiple sources to ensure everything is okay, but nothing has turned up. We can't tell anybody what happend with CnQ, because we don't know what happened with CnQ. 
 
Because of repeated requests via email, phone, and facebook (among other places) we decided to start a new forum, where hopefully our CnQ members would find us again. So many members are lost to us because we don't have access to the database where we could let them know via email. In this, we are asking for your help. Please, tell everyone you know about the new forum. I've had multiple requests for help with emergencies via email, and we would really like to get them here on the forum, so the information can be shared with everyone. 
 
Let's build a new community every bit as good as the last one. If you have a question, no matter how silly it seems post it. We need to completely rebuild our database because, as of now, all the other information is lost. Experienced or not, post a question, let's get answers going, discussion, etc. Start some debates. The more we post, the faster we will rebuild the years of knowledge that, for now at least, appears to have been lost.

I guess some things never change. The troublemakers anr rabblerousers will never stop complaining when things don't go their way, especially people who DEMANDED to be deleted from CnQ, then go around whining that they were banned. Since I didn't beg her to stay, that makes her mad. Perhaps if these people spent as much time helping people as they did lying and whining, the chin world would be a better place. :)  
 
 
 
Instead, let's go to every site we can and whine about things we have no clue about and try and stir up trouble because we can't get to the actual source of where we wish we could be. The staff's job on CnQ was not to promote chinworld, nor was it to hand hold temperamental members who would stomp off in a snit every time she got her knickers in a twist, which a certain member was always happy to point out to anybody who disagreed with her. Now that she's out of that forum, everybody should have bowed down to her. Yeaaahhhh, that's gonna happen.

Whoa! I have no idea what went down over at the old CnQ site, but most of us do have 1 thing in common--we own and love our pet chinchillas. I know that Chins-n-Hedgies is a new start to add great info for chinchilla owners and potential chinchilla owners. Word of advice, bury the hatchet start fresh with a new site and help educated people to make smart decisions regarding their pet chins.

My My, and you tout your new forum as being friendly, same ole same ole, lipstick on a pig miss inflated sense of self importance.

Jennifer - I'd love to do that. But Dawn has a problem with falsifying why she left CnQ, and I for one, am incredibly tired of hearing about it. She demanded she be removed because someone questioned her care of her chin Gino. I complied. Now she's been "banned." It's nothing but a lie. You can't bury the hatchet when the other party runs around to everybody who will listen to her and whines about how badly she's been mistreated, when she's only doing it for attention because she can't get what she needs on a big enough forum. 
 
 
 
Trust me, within 15 minutes, this little comment will be allll over Dawn's new home. That part doesn't bother me, what bothers me is that people actually believe the pack of lies she's spouting. If I could access CnQ, I could produce the PM's where she demanded she be deleted. She was in no way banned, no matter how many times she had a tantrum, then went to CnG and started threads about how crappy CnQ was, that she was never coming back, and then was back within a month.  
 
 
 
It's totally pathetic. And Dawn, I don't need to have a bunch of sycophants running around telling me how wonderful I am in order to function in my life. I actually HAVE a life off the forums. I have friends, family, all kinds of things that normal people do. I don't feel the need to lie to get people on my side, nor do I need to have them stroke me in order to get through my day.  
 
 
 
I apologize for mucking up your blog with this Jennifer, but it's about time that people understand the real reason Dawn left CnQ, and it wasn't because she was banned. She would also have been welcomed on CnH, but she whined to someone that she was banned (once again, lying) and that she wouldn't be allowed to join. Many people that were banned from CnQ have joined. It is a fresh start for US, just not for some people who can't seem to let go of their pettines.

chins-n-hedgies gives everyone a fair shot no matter what has happened in the past. I know some sites won't let you join even if you meet criteria.... no matter what knowledge you may have due to predjudeces......

Dawn, you are certifiable! Nobody EVER said you had sex with Gino's dead body on a thread on CnQ. It's amazing how you can post that now that the forum is down and nobody can prove it. Oh wait, yes, we can. Ever hear of cache? That is disgusting and takes a truly warped mind to come up with. I'm almost positive that the joking around about her having sex with her dead chinchilla's body (that really hurt and offended her) wasn't discussed in any thread, it was discussed in chat... where staff members where present and participated in the 'fun'.

How convenient that the people whinging about CnQ cannot prove anything since the forum no longer exists.

If someone said something that sick about Dawn and Gino, then I am just as repulsed by them as Dawn is. Regardless of any personal emnity between myself and Dawn, I would never, ever disrespect Gino that way. IF that actually happened, then I am very sorry for any hurt that Dawn felt because of it.  
 
 
 
Unfortunately, there were too many tattletales running back to another forum with half truths and stories, just to stoke the fires. 
 
The only way I would believe that ever happened is if the chat logs showed it. You cannot cut and paste from CnQ's chat, so there's no way to prove it was actually said without those logs, which we can no longer access.

This is Off topic, but to the "fuzzy" person, I would like to know who you are, as that is MY chins name and I am getting rather nasty emails thinking you are me, and that hiding behind a name that people associate with ME is mean....

OMG, don't get your knickers in a twist because I'm using a common chinchilla name. You're not the only person to have a chinchilla named Fuzzy.  
Get a grip and tell the morons who are emailing you they are pathetic.
